Xenosaga: be a man

Yes, see, if you saw the work-in-progress of this in my scraps (I linked to it off of my Livejournal actually) I mentioned that it was kinda inspired by a Disney song. As ~etansel correctly guessed, yes, it's "I'll make a man out of you" from Mulan. See, I listen to more Disney music than I usually admit to, and I was listening to that song, and the "mysterious as the dark side of the moon" line reminded me of chaos, because it's not uncommon for me to have chaos on the brain. From there, I worked backwards through that verse to include all the guys.

I know that chaos' jacket came out too orangey (the marker test looked okay, but now I know better. live and learn!) and that Ziggy's outfit has some wrong details, and that Jin does have red stuff on his sword hilt but I was lazy. My excuse: forgive any discrepancies, because this is the first time I've drawn any of these outfits (in non-pixel form, because I have indeed pixelled that version of Ziggy)

The song verse reference is as follows (with the line "be a man!" interjected between... I like the Xenosaga guys :3 ) :

"You must be swift as the coursing river" (Jr. - he's fast! Both in battle and with his precious firearms)
"With all the force of a great typhoon" (Jin - He's strong. It fits. And the next verse...)
"With all the strength of a raging fire" (Ziggy - ...fits Ziggy better because Ziggy is hella strong and also all of his attacks [in ep II anyway] are fire elemental)
"Mysterious as the dark side of the moon" (chaos - okay, come on, who else? he IS!)
